MY9TV.COM - How turn your unwanted gift cards into cold hard cash.
It's a lot easier that you may think.
Brenda Flanagan explains.
Ever get gift cards that you don't really want? More than 23 million consumers still have unused giftcards from last year! That's $8 billion unspent dollars!! But here's a solution: websites like giftcardrescue.com, cardpool.com, plasticjungle.com and cardcash.com, where you can sell those unwanted gift cards and get your hands on some real money!
Is there a catch? Of course, there's always a catch!! But, when CardCash.com buys your giftcard it does not pay full face value. You don't get $100 cash back for your $100 giftcard. But, you do get a certain percentage of what the card is worth. And that percentage varies, according to Liz Luke from CardCash.com.
But as a rule, you get a higher percentage and more money back for popular, in-demand cardslike Sam's Club, worth 91%. and Safeway at 92%. So if you have a $100 card and you get 92% you're getting $92 for that card.
Got it? Obviously, you get a lower percentage back for less-popular giftcards say Saks Fifth Ave at 75% and Godiva at 60% Still some customers agree, "You might not get the value of the card, but at least you get something back. And you can choose what you want to use it on."
CardCash lists a value for all the gift cards you can sell on their website but wait! There's more! You can also buy gift cards at a discount.
Edna Sandaal's on a fixed income, but she's renovated her kitchen with discounted Home Depot giftcards she bought
from cardcash.com. She says, "After doing the whole kitchen I must've saved $1000 to $1200. And now I have my bathroom to do so I'm gonna save a ton of money there. I love it, that's the way to go! In this economy, that's the way to go!"
