MY9TV.COM - It's Valentine's Day and if you have a date.
Hopefully cupid's arrow will hit the mark.
But how can you tell if they are really into you?
Our Brenda Flanagan has some hot tips to help you translate the language of love.
Sometimes people are easy to read! Tonya Reiman's fluent in the "Body Language of Dating" she even wrote
a new book about it. She says people need to understand visual cues!
Reiman's tip is, "You have to listen with your eyes because if you're not listening with your eyes, you're missing what the person is saying."
She says the language of love can get a little tricky sometimes like on a first date. We set up two of our news interns on a first date to see what their body language says about the date. While just sitting at a table their body language betrays their innermost thoughts. She's sitting back, legs tightly crossed, hands in her lap. He's leaning towards her, hands on the table, feet in her space.
Reimans says, "When you're into someone, you tend to lean forward we tend to move towards the object of our desire. He was really trying to bring her into his world and she was saying "Not gonna happen"."
Facial expressions also tell a story. In this case the two chat easily and laugh. He nods and smiles. But she's waving a big red flag.
Tonya explains, "He told her facially that he was into her, but she puckered her lips and pursed her lips a lot. You can tell right off the bat there's a level of concern or even disinterest."
Ouch. Tonya's got some hot dating tips moves that say, "I LIKE You!"
