New Jersey Turnpike officials are still counting up the damages from Hurricane Irene. Officials say $2.3 million in toll revenue was lost from the turnpike and $2 million was lost from the Garden State Parkway before and during the storm. Executive Director Ronnie Hakim told The Record newspaper the figures include overtime and the cost of preparations leading up to the storm. Hakim expects they will likely grow.
