New Jersey state police will be on the offensive come Super Bowl Sunday.
Troopers will be out in force on major highways, including the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. The saturated patrols will target drunken drivers, speeders, texters and those who aren't wearing seat belts.
Officials say the boost comes in part because the New York Giants are playing for the title.
State Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa says that in 2008, the last time Big Blue played in the Super Bowl, there were 176 drunken driving arrests. That's the second highest total ever recorded in New Jersey on a Super Bowl Sunday.
