MY9TV.COM - A fallen marine was laid to rest. Lance Corporal Osbrahny Montes De-Oca made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. And he was remembered by his community of North Arlington with honor. Matt Alvarez has the story.

Lance Corporal Osbrahny Montes De-Oca was only 20 years old when he was killed in Afghanistan just ten days ago.

In his hometown, mourners lined the streets to honor the fallen soldier's sacrifice.

"It's not easy to see these kids going over there and losing there life for our freedom," said Harold Lehman, a mourner outside the funeral.

Family members say Montes De Oca had joined the marine corp with his twin brother Osmany back in December of 2010. Montes De Oca was stationed in the Helmand province of Afghanistan when he was killed on February 10th.

As for how he died, a press release by the department of defense provided no further details stating only that he died while supporting combat operations.

"It's heartbreaking, I was just telling him, it's heartbreaking," said Ed Smolen, a family friend.

Ed knew the Montes De Oca family, his son was friends with Osbrahny and Osbrahny's twin brother.

"He was a great kid, and his brother they hung out with my son for a while back in junior and senior year," Ed told us.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was seen leaving the Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church after the service concluded. Christie ordered flags to be flown at half staff across the state to honor the sacrifice of the fallen marine.

"It's very emotional and it is good to see everyone out here" a local couple said about the service.

Montes De Oca was later buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery as mourners gathered outside to say a final goodbye.
