Lynda Lopez

Weekend Anchor

Lynda Lopez joined My9 News in July, 2006 as weekend anchor. She co-anchored the Hispanic Day Parade for My9 with FOX 5's Ron Corning and the National Puerto Rican Day Parade with Fox 5's Ernie Anastos.

Prior to joining My9 News, Lopez was weekend anchor and reporter for CBS 2. Lopez served as entertainment reporter for "News Live" on the E! Television Network and co-hosted a morning drive radio show on Blink 102.7 in New York City. Previously, Lopez worked as an entertainment reporter for NBC and Telemundo owned and operated stations and NBC cable networks. Lopez also hosted "Glow," a beauty-themed series for the E! Entertainment's "Style" Network, as well as being heard on WKTU Radio.

Lopez began her broadcasting career in radio at WBAB-FM and WLIR-FM, in addition to working as both assistant program director and music director at Party 105 in Garden City. She made her television debut as a correspondent for VH-1, working on such shows as "The Daily One," "Back to Back Videos," and Women First." Following that, Lopez was an entertainment anchor for WPIX-TV.

A New York resident and native from the Bronx, Lopez graduated from C. W. Post University with a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Communications.
