Holiday Sparklers
December 17, 2007
This is it. Your last week at work before everyone takes off for the holiday, and your dance card is full of gatherings: neighbors and co-workers, bosses and beaus all expect you will shine with that special glow.
The problem is, you’ve run out of day-to-evening wear, and it’s more than a week ‘til the Big Day.
Our friends at Perla Boutique (www.perlaboutique.com) in Westfield want to help. This little store, next to the train station and across from—yes!—an adequately large parking lot, is offering a solution to the socially stressed and party weary.
The store, run by a mom and her two daughters is like the nice version of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Perla is stocked with cocktail clothes that are easy to wear with just the right touch of glitz. And to help you decide, they are offering 10 percent off to shoppers who print out this column or mention NJ My Way!
The fine family at Perla staged a show for our Fashion Editor Maria Cucciniello of The Hip Event (www.thehipevent.com)—you can watch the video on NJ My Way. Take a look at the first shimmery dress, by Robert Rodriguez and you’ll be heading in here, glue strips in hand, to try it on.
If you want more refined with less shine, Bianca Nero and Rebecca Taylor will help you face the music with fashion sense and good taste.
The dresses are so glitzy you don’t need a lot of jewelry. But Perla specializes in designer Rebecca Lynn’s (www.rebeccalynndesigns.com) original bling, which goes perfectly with the store’s evening wear.
So hustle to Perla this week, to pick up a few more outfits for the season. Remember, a girl can’t get too much glam.
