The newest suit jackets and coats for fall and winter have sleeves that end slightly below the elbow. What to do with that length of exposed flesh from elbow to wrist… especially as your tan fades?
Some fashion gurus say the answer is: long gloves.

Match the color of your jacket to your gloves to create a single line. Or, buy colorful fingerless gloves to off-set your all-about-business suit, and create your own fashion statement.
We love the variety of long cashmere gloves at Hedy Shepard in Princeton (175 Nassau Street, 609-921-0562). They call them “wrist warmers.” Most run about a hundred bucks.
There’s a butter-soft opera-length leather glove at Nordstrom (www.nordstrom.com) for $148. And N-M (www.neimanmarcus.com) carries long shiny patent leather gloves, lined in silk, for $175.
The budget-minded will find a variety of fingerless arm charms at Urban Outfitter (www.urbanoutfitters.com) in Montclair.
