TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie and New Jersey Democrats are still squabbling over fiscal issues even after agreeing to a state budget.
And now the Republican governor has ordered the Legislature back to Trenton on Monday.
Christie hasn't taken action on the Democrats' signature budget issue, a millionaires' tax. And they haven't endorsed his key tax cut initiative.
Christie has vetoed the millionaires' tax twice previously, and he could announce Monday how he plans to deal with the bill this time around.
Democrats have agreed to fund the 10 percent tax cut Christie's demanding, but they say they'll release the $183 million in January — if the state can afford it.
Christie wants a commitment from the Democrats now, which they haven't provided.
