HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.
(AP) — Two children and one adult suffered minor injuries when a school
bus and a car collided in northwestern New Jersey.
Authorities
say the three were taken to a hospital after Tuesday's crash in
Hackettstown, along with six other children who were sent there just as a
precaution.
A 6-year-old child had a leg and hand injury, while a
7-year-old had a knee injury. The 96-year-old woman driving the car was
being treated for chest pains.
The accident occurred around 11:50
a.m. on Route 46. Authorities say the bus was stopped to make a turn
when it was rear-ended by the car.
The bus was carrying several
children who were taking part in a summer program held at an elementary
school in the Warren County community.
The accident remains under investigation.
