WASHINGTON (AP) —
Mitt Romney says it's time for Democratic Senate leader Harry Reid to
put up or shut up when it comes to talking about the Republican
presidential candidate's taxes.
Reid has been saying this week
that an investor with Romney's former company, Bain Capital, claimed
that Romney didn't pay any taxes for 10 years. Reid says that's why
Romney isn't releasing more than a year or two of his tax returns.
Reid isn't saying just who makes that claim — and the Nevada Democrat adds that he isn't certain that it's true.
On
Thursday, Romney told radio host Sean Hannity that Reid needs to, in
Romney's words, "put up or shut up." He called the claim about his taxes
"untrue, dishonest, and inaccurate."
