TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Forecasters are predicting more
showers and thunderstorms across New Jersey as tropical-like air hangs over the
state.
Storms packing powerful winds and heavy rain swept across parts of central
and northern New Jersey on Thursday.
Utility crews restored service after the wind downed trees and power lines in
Bergen, Mercer, Middlesex, Burlington, Camden, Essex, Gloucester, Hudson,
Passaic, Somerset and Union counties.
Flash flooding left some motorists stranded in Woodbridge.
