MILLVILLE, N.J. (AP) — Dozens of birds have fallen out of the sky and died in southern New Jersey.
Millville police believe the deaths Tuesday morning came because of a legal application of pesticide at a farm in town.
Residents tell The News of Cumberland County (http://bit.ly/PjBbM3 ) that they saw dozens of birds dropping around 8:30 a.m.
Michelle Cavalieri says it was like a horror movie. Birds would fall, try to get up and fall again until they could not move at all.
Darlene Knoll said she saw birds fall to the ground off a feeder.
