VINELAND, N.J. (AP) — Authorities are searching for a man suspected of attacking a woman with a machete in Vineland.

The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office says 43-year-old Eugenio Morales should be considered armed and dangerous. Morales faces attempted homicide, weapons and other charges.

The 41-year-old female was found with life-threatening injuries to her face, head, body and hands in the area of Sixth and Almond Streets in Vineland on Wednesday evening.

The woman, whose name is not being released for her own safety, is in critical condition.
