TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is slated to speak at a
breakfast for delegates at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.,
Monday.
Christie attended a rally for New Jersey's delegates on Sunday.
The threat of Tropical Storm Isaac forced officials to postpone some
events.
Christie referred to his "get the hell off the beach" quote that he made a
year ago as Tropical Storm Irene headed for New Jersey. To loud applause, the
governor told the delegation he was brought to Florida on Sunday "to make sure
if there's any idiots who were on the beach, tell them to get the hell off the
beach."
Christie will deliver the convention's keynote address on Tuesday
night.
