HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a good
Samaritan in New Jersey used his cellphone camera to photograph a 43-year-old
man sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy and then called 911.
Hightstown police tell The Times of Trenton (http://bit.ly/TpeUKb) the
Samaritan was attending a church concert Saturday night when he saw Thomas
Massaro of Hightstown with the boy. The Samaritan then took the photos so police
would have proof of what happened.
Officers soon arrived on scene and charged Massaro with sexual assault of a
minor, child endangerment and prostitution involving a minor. He was jailed on
$50,000 bail, and it's not known if he has retained a lawyer.
Police say Massaro and the teen were previously acquainted before Saturday's
incident.
