EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A New Hampshire woman who faces criminal charges stemming from a New Jersey traffic accident that killed her husband has now been charged in connection with numerous burglaries in southern Jersey.
Atlantic County authorities say they found dozens of stolen items — including jewelry, cameras and electronics — inside an Egg Harbor Township motel room where 28-year-old Allison Hawks Nasta of Manchester was staying. They had gone there as part of the investigation into an Aug. 28 crash in Pleasantville that killed her 34-year-old husband, William, and injured their two young children.
Authorities say Allison Nasta was driving with a suspended license when her minivan hit a utility pole. She faces numerous charges in the crash, including hindering apprehension and obstruction.
It's not known if she's retained an attorney.
