NEW YORK (AP) —
Students and faculty at a Queens high school are among those reeling
from the death of a 16-year-old boy in a New Jersey party bus accident.
The wake for Daniel Fernandez was scheduled Monday afternoon and evening in Rego Park.
He was about to enter his junior year at St. Francis Prep.
Fernandez struck a highway overpass Monday in Fort Lee, N.J. after poking his head through a roof hatch on the double-decker bus.
He was among 65 teens headed to a sweet 16 party.
A security guard was on board at the time. He said he had just gone to the lower level of the bus as it approached the overpass.
