MOUNT EPHRAIM, N.J. (AP) — The National Weather Service has sent a team to a
southern New Jersey community to try to determine if a
tornado struck Tuesday.
National Weather Service meteorologist Mitchell Gaines says Camden County
officials reported damaged homes and downed trees in the Philadelphia suburb of
Mount Ephraim.
Also, weather service radar Tuesday indicated that clouds could have been
moving in a circular pattern.
Home video shot during the storm also showed what appeared to be a funnel
cloud forming.
Gaines says the weather service expects to determine later Wednesday if it
was a tornado.
