Posted: Updated:

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (AP) — Forecasters are predicting a high risk for rip currents along the New Jersey coast Monday.

Wave heights of 3 to 5 feet are possible as Tropical Storm Leslie continues to churn the ocean.

Seaside Heights police closed the beaches on Sunday evening after two water rescues.

Police Detective Steve Korman tells the Asbury Park Press (http://on.app.com/UDYeB9 ) an 18-year-old Basking Ridge man and a 21-year-old man from Far Hills were pulled from the surf after they got caught in a rip current.

A 28-year-old woman from New Rochelle, N.Y., and a 30-year-old woman from Albany, N.Y., managed to reach shore after they were gripped by a rip current three hours later.
