Hurricane Nadine moves east over central Atlantic

AMI (AP) — Forecasters say Hurricane Nadine is moving quickly eastward over the central Atlantic Ocean, far from land.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said Nadine had top sustained winds of 80 mph (130 kph). At 5 a.m. EDT Sunday, Nadine was centered 1,190 miles (1,915 kilometers) east of Bermuda and moving east at 17 mph (28 kph).

In the eastern Pacific, Tropical Storm Lane has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph (95 kph) and was 1,165 miles (1,875 kms) west-southwest of Mexico's southern tip of Baja California and moving west at 7 mph (11 kph) early Sunday. Tropical Storm Kristy was 455 miles (735 km) west-northwest of the southern tip of Baja and had top sustained winds of 40 mph (65kph) and was expected to become a remnant low soon.
