ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris
Christie will hold a town hall event in Bergen County aimed at a "middle-class
reform agenda."
The message to be delivered at the Elmwood Park Recreational Center Tuesday
will resonate with familiar Christie themes.
The governor is expected to call for tax cuts, eliminating payouts to public
workers for unused sick time and press local governments to share services.
Christie and the Democrat-controlled Legislature earlier this year agreed to
an income tax cut for those who earn $400,000 or less that would be equal to 10
percent of a taxpayer's property tax bill.
The Legislature adopted a state budget that permits the cut if there's enough
money to pay for it.
Christie has criticized Democrats for delaying the cut.
