NEWARK, N.J.
(AP) — Murder charges have been filed against a 65-year-old Newark man
who allegedly stabbed another man to death inside a city apartment.
Acting
Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says Earl Fauntleroy also faces
weapons charges in connection with the stabbing, which occurred shortly
before 11 p.m. Friday. His bail was set at $750,000, and it was not
known Saturday if Fauntleroy had retained an attorney.
Murray says
Fauntleroy fought with 64-year-old Morris Lee of Orange shortly before
Lee was stabbed inside the Sanford Avenue apartment, but further details
on the argument and stabbing were not disclosed. Lee was pronounced
dead a short time later at a hospital.
