PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A judge has ruled that
a New Jersey historical group must move a dozen locomotives and rail cars from
outside a shuttered train station.
The ruling is perhaps the most decisive to date in Pemberton Township Mayor
David Patriarca's nearly 2-year effort to get the Pemberton Historic Trust to
find a new home for the rolling artifacts.
Judge Karen Suter says the group has 60 days to move the fleet.
Trust President Adrienne Leonard tells the Burlington County Times (http://bit.ly/PTV8Hr ) she plans to appeal,
saying it's one of the best train collections in the state.
The mayor has said he'd be OK with keeping a couple cars there, but not all
of them, which he considers hazards.
