NJ man who trains dogs admits cruelty

Posted: Updated:

NEPTUNE, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man who trains dogs for films and TV has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges stemming from the deaths of two of his Rottweilers.

A judge in Neptune fined 48-year-old Charles Loguidice of Howell $2,000.

The dogs were left in a car when Loguidice stopped to get something to eat in August.

Victor "Buddy" Amato of the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says Loguidice said he left the car running and air conditioner on, but the dogs apparently hit the defroster button.

Temperatures in the vehicle were more than 100 degrees.

The Asbury Park Press (http://on.app.com/QWHGo0 ) reports Loguidice's dogs have appeared in NBC's "30 Rock" and have been featured in a video game including Lions Gate's horror film "Torture Chamber."
