NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Workers are being allowed back in
to a cargo building at Newark Liberty International Airport after being
evacuated due to a suspicious package.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says the evacuation was ordered
a little before 10:30 a.m. after a package tested positive for explosives. The
Port Authority operates Newark Liberty Airport.
Spokesman Ron Marsico says the package was cleared by the Essex County Bomb
Squad and employees were being allowed back in by about 11:30.
