EVESHAM, N.J. (AP) — Police in southern New Jersey
have a mystery on their hands.
Evesham police believe an 81-year-old motorist struck a pedestrian. But
officers have not found the victim.
An officer stopped the Cherry Hill motorist on East Main Street on Tuesday
night. The officer noticed damage to the passenger side of the vehicle that was
consistent with striking a person.
Police say the driver recalled striking something, but he was unsure what it
was or where it happened.
Tests showed hairs found on the vehicle are consistent with coming from a
human.
Evesham police say the collision could have occurred within an hour radius of
Cherry Hill Mall.
