BLOOMFIELD, N.J. (AP) — Police say a Bloomfield man has been charged in the death of a teenage girl who was killed when two cars collided on a northern New Jersey roadway.
The Essex County Prosecutor's office says 23-year-old Nicholas M. Camasco turned himself in Thursday. He is charged with vehicular homicide and aggravated assault by auto in connection with the crash that killed 16-year-old Christina Lembo of Bloomfield.
Four other people suffered non-life threatening injuries in the Sept. 29 crash.
Lembo was a passenger in one of the two vehicles that collided in Bloomfield.
She was taken to a hospital but died there a short time later.
Camasco is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility on $100,000 bail.
It is not immediately clear if he has an attorney.
