TRENTON, N.J.
(AP) — PATH says it will shut down its commuter train service at 12:01
a.m. Monday ahead of the massive storm headed for the eastern third of
the U.S.
The commuter rail system that ferries passengers between
New York City and New Jersey announced Sunday that it would close
starting Monday until further notice.
Last year, nearly 77 million passengers rode PATH trains between New York and Hoboken, Jersey City and Newark.
Hurricane
Sandy is heading north from the Caribbean and expected to meet a winter
storm and a cold front to create a megastorm affecting residents from
the East Coast to the Great Lakes.
