EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Flooding has forced officials to close a section of the Garden State Parkway.

The parkway is closed in both directions south of the Atlantic City Expressway at Exit 38.

New Jersey Turnpike Authority spokesman Tom Feeney says it's reasonable to expect more closings because of Hurricane Sandy.

Parkway traffic is being diverted to the Atlantic City Expressway.
