NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — An elderly New Jersey man who admitted downloading numerous child porn images and videos is now facing up to 20 years in prison.
Federal
prosecutors say 81-year-old Joseph Amari of Fair Lawn pleaded guilty
Wednesday to a complaint charging him with receipt of child pornography.
Amari
admitted that he used peer-to-peer file-sharing software to download
the images and videos in February 2007. He faces a mandatory minimum
penalty of five years in prison when he's sentenced May 13, and could
receive as much as 20 years.
Amarei is currently serving a state prison sentence for unrelated child endangerment charges.
